Michael White
With over 50 years in the field and employment experience at both Steinway and Yamaha, Michael White is a world-class piano technician. He is one of the pioneers of piano services in the Rio Grande Valley with hundreds of clients including school districts, churches, universities, and music academies. His level of expertise and care for the field of piano technology has been passed on to a number of apprentices including the founders of Afina.

In a trade so rare as piano technology, mentorship with experts in the field is a must in order to acquire the skills necessary to become a technician. The founders of Afina, Adonai Avalos and Victor Moreno, have both done extensive mentorship with Michael White as well as a certification through the Piano Technician Academy, a school operated by the leading piano service company of the northwest: Artisan Piano Services.

Afina was founded in order to expand the reach of piano services in the Rio Grande Valley to every home, church, and school in need. We strive to carry the tradition of excellence held by Michael White and treat every piano as if it were our own.
